UPDATED January 2008:
Edmay Mayers, who is a U. S. Army Corps of Engineers member who formerly served in Iraq, began collecting new and gently used stuffed animals and toys to give to Iraqi children. She has returned to the states, but you can still send boxes to the address below.
Address the package to Toys for Iraqi Children at the following address:
USACE-GRS
APO AE 09331
You can find out how to get free shipping supplies (not including postage) here.

I sent a package to a guy which had lots of toys in it. I was surprised to receive an email from him thanking me for the toys. In addition he sent me a pic of the soldiers handing toys, small towels and other items to the children. I am not sure exactly where it was taken but the land is really horrible looking.

Hi to all - yes I am stateside and although am enjoying myself being home I do miss Iraq and all the good things about it especially the children. I wanted to let you know that we are still accepting boxes of toys, etc for the children. Please send them to Michael Fellenz, or Frank DeBoer or Natalie Sudman at the same address which is NAME of either of the three above USACE-GRS, APO AE 09331. Thanks so much for all you have done for us - God love you and God speed. /Edmayt

I plan to send a small box of toys to the address above. I hope they will receive them! I will address it to Natalie Sudman. Please let me know if she is still there or if there is another name I should use instead. Thanks so much!

That information came from Edmay herself, so yes, it is correct.

Natalie is no longer in Iraq. She had to leave rather quickly and I believe Frank will be leaving soon too. Please address your boxes to Michael Fellenz and he will take care of them and ensure the children receive every article of toys, clothes, school supplies, whatever to the children of Iraq. Thanks again from the bottom of my heart, God bless each and every one of you. Edmay

Is Michael Fellenz still the person to whom we can send our donations for the children of Iraq?

Please address all boxes to “Toy for Iraqi Children” as I am having trouble keeping up with who is still there and who is leaving. Some get hurt and must leave immediatly - others leave for home or for other areas of Iraq. As of this writing Tonya Myrick is sorting and handling the toys but I do not know when she will leave. I am working on going back to Iraq or to Afghanistan - I will keep all informed on parenthacks.com - please keep sending the boxes as they will be distributed to all. I am going to write to Tonya today to get an update. Thanks to all and God bless each and everyone of you for your great genorosity. /Edmay

To Edmay:
Any word yet from Tonya to confirm the contact name and address for current shipments of toys? Also, given the obvious enthusiasm for sending toys, do you know if any other programs like yours have sprung up in Iraq (or Afghanistan) that may serve different communities in the region? If so, please post the contact information for them as well. Thank you!!
